As the lead producer from the agency Anomaly, I helped bring NIVA's Save Our Stages Festival to life—a three-day virtual music festival and fundraiser presented by YouTube Music in partnership with the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA). The event raised over $1M in donations, providing vital support to independent venues at risk of closure due to COVID-19 restrictions.
A highlight of the festival was a series of films celebrating the impact of independent venues which I produced called the "Folklore" series, sharing stories of legendary venues The Troubadour, 9:30 Club and Preservation Hall through the voices of iconic storytellers. I also oversaw the creation of "A Tribute to Independent Venues," a launch film narrated by Neil Young, featuring archival footage from artists like Bob Marley, Nirvana, and The Beastie Boys.
Our work extended beyond the films to a massive suite of social assets designed to amplify the festival’s reach, driving donations and awareness. These efforts contributed to the passage of the Save Our Stages Act, which became the Shuttered Venues Operators Grant Program, allocating $16 billion in federal relief for the live music industry.
The project won three Clio awards and a Webby, underscoring the power of collaboration and creativity in preserving cultural institutions during a challenging time.

You can rewatch the festival performances on NIVA's website and YouTube.
