tl;dr - I am good at managing projects and people with creative ambitions and have a lot of experience doing it well.
I was born in Denver, making my way to the east coast after HS, spending many years in both Baltimore and NYC, and now I call New Jersey home with my wife and young son.
I graduated cum laude from Towson University with degrees in Journalism and Audio Production and had a lot of different types of jobs along the way. I've worked as a cook in kitchens full time, waited tables, valet parked cars, reffereed hockey, and worked the land as a farmhand (think corn maze and pumpkin patch). I also managed a rock band and was deeply involved in Baltimore’s music scene doing photography and video work for artists.
I was even named Baltimore's Best Instagram in The Baltimore Sun's Mobbies Awards two years in a row—in the early days of the app's popularity—mostly because of my dog awesome Bailey and the hashtag #baileystraightchillin, and it even got some media coverage. (Bmore Media, Fox45, Baltimore Post Examiner)
Since then, my career has taken me in many creative directions: I launched a hyper-local news site (Bowie Patch), produced radio shows at WBAL and worked on the Ravens and Orioles broadcast teams, led creative teams at YouTube, worked with top agencies like Anomaly, produced award-winning campaigns, taught in classrooms, managed web design projects, freelanced as a photographer, a bit of a laundry list if you made it this far, but the point is I've had a lot of diverse experience. Each phase of my life has shaped my perspective, help me to discover and develop my skills, and reinforced my passion for creativity, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact. I care a lot about the people that I work with and the things we make together.
